In 1936, an artist named Dewees Cochran began sculpting very special dolls for Effanbee®. The artist modeled these dolls to look like real little girls. After Robert Tonner’s acquisition of Effanbee® Doll Company, he was inspired by these sculpts and updated the collection with new faces and clothing to represent little girls of today. Effanbee Doll Company is proud to offer the sweetness and charm of America’s Child.
